A few months ago, we introduced the three summer interns at ALICEhelps. Now, we are reflecting on what our interns have accomplished during the summer to help build a stronger marketing presence and software development for our company. We’re so grateful for their time, work, and enthusiasm! And we wish them all the best as they return to school.
Caitlin Reddington, our Marketing Intern, spent the past few months setting up our social media accounts, more specifically Instagram and Facebook, as well as assisting with the LinkedIn platform. She successfully highlighted new blog content and relevant articles on all social media platforms to share with our audiences. While building the brand on social media, she almost quadrupled our followers on Instagram and increased engagement among all platforms.
Ajani Mohanty, one of our two Development Interns, has learned how to use development tools like IntelliJ, Git, and Jira, as well as the programming language Groovy, to efficiently work on tasks and tickets for ALICEhelps. Throughout the past year, he’s worked in many different areas of the ALICEhelps application, including overhauling the navigation bar, adding new fields to the voice, and sectioning off features for specific users, alongside lots of other assorted changes to continue making ALICEhelps better.
After a productive summer Daniel Johnson, our second Development Intern, has spent a majority of his time becoming more proficient in backend stack development. From increasing his maturity in jquery and REST to deepening his knowledge of SQL, Daniel has implemented numerous new features in ALICEhelps, including those related file storage to user authentication, while remaining compliant in a Git workflow.
